Taurus Men: Does anyone understand them (you)? QUESTION FRIEND ZONE RELATED?

I see a lot of posts about Taurus men. I have a short question: Is it best to be a Taurus male friend, before getting into a relationship? If so, how do you NOT get stuck in the friend zone? Or do Taurus men like to really fall head over heels before committing? Anyone have any luck with these elusive men? They are hot and cold.
