Boyfriend Can Only Last 2 Minutes?

i've been reading around, and i see that tons of guys can last for more than 10 minutes during sex... my boyfriend and i have been having sex for over a year (not all the time, sometimes we go for a couple weeks not having sex) and he can barely last for 2 minutes! i'm so confused? can i tell him what to do to last longer, or will this come (no pun intended, hahaha) in time? thanks for helping. :) let me know if you have any questions to be answered.
