Why insist on physical proof of God?

Because, if someone claims something exist they are responsible for proving it. If I say I have a pet unicorn are you going to believe me simply because you can't prove I don't? If you have a brain & know how to use it the answer would be no. Common sense tells you not to trust in something without first testing it. I don't believe in a god, however unlike most theists I don't claim that one doesn't exist or that there isn't a possibility that one might exist. I simply claim that I do not believe that any do. Therefore I am not close minded & actually most atheists aren't, it happens to be the other way around. Don't like, oh well you'll just have to get over it.
