Should I give up on her?

I think you have to give more weight to the words she isnt ready yet for a relationship.Sure keep things between you friendly but dont raise your hopes too high of anything more developing but it may do. carry on with meeting other girls see if a new direction opens up before you. sorry! good luck with everything. i know its not easy ive had these similar experiences too.
