Why can't birthers see past the Donald's false logic?

Do they fail to understand that the absence of proof does nothing to prove the opposite. Just because I say gravity doesn't exist; then I say I have paid people to physically bottle this elusive gravity, and then they come back empty handed. This is not proof of my claim.
